Country Throwdown

This portion of the blog is dedicated to Andrew! He was/is an amazing husband in opting to come all the way down to Park City, stuck between two car seats, by-the-way, and take care of Jess’s kids while we went to a concert of a lifetime. Basically he is awesome and gets best husband award!

The concert was great! We were only 10 rows back from the stage, so we could see the facial expressions but not get spit on while enjoying the music. Jack Ingram was the first one we listen to. He came off stage during his song “Bare foot and Crazy.” He had taken off his boots before he decided to come off stage and walk on the seats. It was great and funny. He was only a few feet away from us. Other bands that we got to enjoy were, Eric Church, Little Big Town, and Montgomery Gentry. We got pictures with the two main singers of Montgomery Gentry backstage! They are really tall and that one guy is really cute. Andrew could not disagree with that. All of the musical groups were leading up to Montgomery Gentry. It’s too bad I could not hold out to the end. I really enjoyed them all. I couldn't really sing with them the whole time, but I danced a long anyways. It was great!

There was a family next to us who just sat there the whole time. Not even rocking to the beat! LAME! And they paid money to be there! Jess said that if they wanted to sit there and be entertained they could have done it in front of their tv!

As the day went along more and more people got drunk. I've never seen a drunk in real life before! They really are off balance and crazy! LOL. Fun to watch. I also smelled pot for the first time in my life. Jess pointed out the smell. I thought it was just perfume. Guess not. I also realized that pot and cocaine are not the same. One is green and the other is white. HUH, who knew! Boy was I sheltered.

We left the concert early to beat the drunks. I was glad we did because we got a little turned around. Both Jess and I were way tired and slap happy! We basically laughed at anything, which caused more laughter. Good times, good times. (Maybe some from a contact high.)
